Join architect & preservationist Byron Folwell in an immersive exploration of pioneer architecture and construction. Experience some of Idaho’s best remaining examples of boom-town structures, learn about their original inhabitants, and study the details of their construction. Beginners and experienced builders alike are encouraged to make their mark on history while we work on historic structures in Atlanta, Idaho.
ABOUT BYRON FOLWELL
Byron W. Folwell, AIA is an Idaho native and a licensed architect and public artist. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, the US Green Building Council, and Preservation Idaho. He is the owner of Studio Maelstrom, a design firm specializing in the intersection of art, architecture, and history. He lives in Boise with his wife, a photographer and designer, with whom he shares a passionate love of their two children, their community, and their home state.
*While at The Atlanta School, students will camp at nearby camping facilities and will need to bring enough food for themselves during the workshop dates. One dinner will be provided to all students. Ice for coolers is available for purchase.
